Privacy Policy

Porter by Auto AI™ ("Porter", "we", "us") is dealership operations software for tracking where vehicles physically sit on a dealership lot. The controller of the data described here is Auto AI, Inc. You can reach us at info@autoai.inc.

• Account data. Name, work email address, password hash, role (owner, admin, employee), and the dealership you belong to.
• Dealership data. Rooftop name, parking locations, lot configuration, subscription status, and invited team members.
• Operational data. Hang-tag numbers, vehicle identifiers your team enters, check-ins, movements, timestamps, the user who performed each action, and wrong-location reports and their notes.
• Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, error logs, and approximate timing of requests.
• Demo requests. Name, dealership, email, phone, and anything you type into the request form.

Porter is not designed to receive consumer credit data, driver's license images, payment card numbers, health data, or government identifiers. Do not enter them.

• To operate the product: authenticate users, record movements, and show lot status.
• To send transactional email such as invitations, password resets, and notifications.
• To provide support, troubleshoot bugs, and prevent abuse or fraud.
• To improve reliability and performance using aggregated, non-identifying usage data.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver the service you subscribed to), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, communications with dealership staff), consent (where you provide it, such as optional marketing), and legal obligation.

We share data only with vendors who help us run Porter, under contract and only as needed:

• Cloud hosting and database infrastructure providers.
• Transactional email delivery providers.
• Error monitoring and analytics providers.

We may also disclose data if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Auto AI, our users, or the public. If Auto AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may transfer as part of that transaction.

Your dealership is the owner of its operational records. Owners and admins can view, edit, export, and delete records for their rooftop, and can remove users. If you are an employee and want your personal data changed or removed, contact your dealership administrator first.

We retain account and operational data for as long as your dealership maintains an active subscription, and for up to 90 days after termination so records can be restored or exported. After that window we delete or irreversibly anonymize the data, except where a longer period is required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. Backups may persist for a limited period on a rolling schedule.

We use encryption in transit, row-level access controls scoped to your dealership, hashed credentials, and role-based permissions. No system is perfectly secure. We cannot and do not guarantee that Porter, its infrastructure, or its vendors will never be breached, compromised, or accessed by an unauthorized party. Your use of Porter means you accept that risk, and the liability limits and waivers in our Terms and Conditions apply to any security incident, hacking, credential theft, or unauthorized access.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email info@autoai.inc. We may need to verify your identity before we act.

Porter is a workplace tool intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Porter is hosted in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email to dealership owners. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
